Trip Itineraries:
Day 1
Day 1: Yogyakarta – Mount Merbabu
- Pick up from your hotel in Yogyakarta or other meeting point in Yogyakarta City at 9pm.
- Transfer to Selo. The drive is around 1.5 hour.
- Arrive at Selo Boyolali (Merbabu and Merapi Basecamp)
- Start trekking Merbabu at around 11pm.
Day 2
Day 2: Mount Merbabu Sunrise Trekking – Yogyakarta
- Watch sunrise at the highest peak of Mount Merbabu at around 5:30am.
- Start the descent down steep paths though savanna and forest. It takes around 5 hours to reach the basecamp in Selo.
- Back to Yogyakarta city. Drop off at your hotel in Yogyakarta city at around 1pm.

In general, the period between March till November are the best months to visit Indonesia. This is the period of the dry season.
