Day 1: Yogyakarta – Surabaya Gubeng Train Station

Arrive at Yogyakarta Train Station at least 1 hour before departure.

Take the train Wijayakusuma at Yogyakarta Train Station (18:40-23:22, train ticket is included)

Our local tour guide will pick you up at Surabaya Gubeng Train Station at 11:30pm and travel to Mount Bromo area by car, this journey will take about 3 hours

Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise – (optional) Madakaripura Waterfall – Yogyakarta

Arrive at Cemoro Lawang and transfer to a private 4WD jeep

Reach Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Have a light breakfast at a nearby restaurant.

Hike for 10–15 minutes to reach the sunrise viewpoint. Watch the spectacular sunrise (There are many viewpoints nearby. Our guide will bring you to the viewpoint that is less crowded – all have similar views).

Return to the 4WD jeep after sunrise and travel 30 minutes to the Sea of Sand for photo taking.

Travel 30 minutes to another part of the Sea of Sand.

Walk 30–45 minutes or ride on a horse (optional) to reach the foot of Bromo Crater.  Climb 250 flight of stairs for 10–15 minutes to reach the rim of Bromo Crater.

Return to your jeep at around 8–9am and transfer back to a private car at Cemoro Lawang. [OPTIONAL] Head to Madakaripura Waterfall to enjoy the magnificent natural sight.

Drop off at Surabaya Gubeng Train Station by 3:40pm, at least 1 hour before your train departs.
