From the city to Waerebo Village, it takes 4-5 hours by car. This tour inclusive of hotel pick up and drop off in Labuan Bajo city. 

This 2D1N Tour Trip would bring you to explore the traditional village of Waerebo where you will meet with local culture and people. It is suitable for those who have a short stay in Labuan Bajo and just want to experience local cultures. 

Waerebo is a unique traditional Manggarai regency ethnic village with traditional houses. It is located at an altitude of 1,125 m above sea level among the Nature Conservation forest. There are 7 traditional houses or Mbaru Tembong and each of them houses more than one family. The people live of agricultural products like coffee beans, taro and vegetables. The hike to the village is about 3 hours passing forests and nature pools.

Day 1 Labuan City/Hotel in Labuan Bajo – Denge –Waerebo Village (Stay Overnight )

Pick-Up

Our local guide will pick you up at your hotel in Labuan Bajo at 830-9am.

Travel to Waerebo Village

We will then drive inland towards the Waerebo Village. On the way , you can see the beautiful panoramic views, villages and rice fields.

Lunch at Lembor City

We will arrive in Lembor City around noon and have lunch here. We will then go to Denge.

Hiking to Wae Lomba

After lunch, we will start hiking uphill through the rain forest to reach Wae Lomba – a creek as the first stop after about a one hour trek from Denge. You can enjoy the natural pools before continue trekking again to reach Post 2 at Pocoroko a point for panoramic views to the South and Sawu sea.


Nampe Bakok

The next stop will be at Nampe Bakok – a place where you will have a complete view over the traditional village of Waerebo.

Trek to Waerebo

We will then proceed to trek and reach Waerebo in the afternoon. Upon reaching Waerebo, we will go for a traditional welcome ceremony and have dinner with the locals.

Stay in the village

Enjoy the village and stay in one of the traditional houses overnight.

Breakfast in Village

Rise and shine at 8am. Have breakfast in the village.

Trek to Waerebo

Prepare to leave Waerebo Village and trek back the same distance you trekked to Waerebo.

Lunch

Return to our car and proceed back to Labuan Bajo. We will have lunch en route to Labuan Bajo.

Travel to Labuan Bajo

We will pass by a few spiderweb rice fields for picture taking before reaching Labuan Bajo in the afternoon.

Back to Hotel

Drop off in Labuan Bajo hotel. End of tour.
