Starting from Sembalun Village, our experienced guide will lead you through rugged terrains, steep ascents, and breathtaking landscapes. It’ll take you to the summit of Mount Rinjani and you’ll be able to take in the stunning views of Lake Segara Anak and the surrounding mountains.

Day 1: Arrival in Lombok - Sendang Gile & Tiu Kelep Waterfall

Your Flight Arrival Time

Pick up from Lombok International Airport at your arrival time (before 10:30am if you wish to visit the two waterfalls). If you are already in Lombok, we will pick you up from your hotel at 9:30am.

*We would recommend getting takeaway and eating in the car while en route to Rinjani.

2:30 PM

Check into Villa Bambu Rinjani.

3:00 PM

Visit Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfall, two of Lombok’s best and most popular waterfalls, located at the foot of the spectacular Mount Rinjani.

3:30 PM

It only takes 20 minutes on foot from the entrance to view the marvelous Sendang Gile waterfall.

Continue on to Tiu Kelep waterfall, the journey to the second waterfall takes around 45 minutes trekking through a lush forest. Once you get there, you can enjoy the sight of the water crushing the rocks or swim in its refreshing, clear pool.

Day 2: Sembalun Village (1100m) – Sembalun Crater Rim (2639m)

06:00 AM

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

6:30 AM

After breakfast, our driver will take you to Rinjani Trekking Information (RTC) for registration and medical check up.

8:00 AM

Begin the trek, following your guide through lush green landscapes and picturesque valleys. After walking for about two hours, you will arrive at the POS 1 (1300m).

10:00 AM

It then takes about one hour to get to POS 2 (1500m). Take a break and lie down to replenish your energy while waiting for your tour guide and porters to prepare lunch for you.

1:00 PM

Once you have finished lunch, continue to trek for the next one hour until you reach POS 3 (1800m).

2:00 PM

Continuing your adventure to Sembalun Crater Rim (2639m). It will take approximately three hours.

5:00 PM

You will reach Sembalun Crater Rim (2639m) at around 5:00PM, where you’ll spend the night. Our porters will get your sleeping tent and toilet tent ready for you, and enjoy a delicious hot meal prepared by our porters and guide.

As the sun sets, you’ll get to enjoy a stunning sunset view of Mount Agung, Bali, and the volcano’s smoke on the lake’s edge. Additionally, during the night, the sparkling stars can be seen in the sky.

Day 3: Mount Rinjani Summit (3726m) - Sembalun Village (1100m)

1:30 AM

Wake up early and have a light pre-summit breakfast. 

2:00 AM

After breakfast, begin the challenging trek to the summit of Mount Rinjani (3726m). It’s approximately 4 hours trek, and the first stage is a two-hour moderate climb. The second stage is a relatively easy but long hike, and the last hour is really steep and tough. There are lots of loose rocks, and every time you take a step forward, you will lose a step back.

6:00 AM

Reach the summit and witness the magnificent sunrise, take in the breathtaking views and capture memorable photographs. From the summit of Rinjani, you can see the entire island of Lombok, island of Bali, Sumbawa Island, and Segara Anak lake.

7:00 AM

After sunrise, we will head down to the Sembalun Crater Rim. It will take about two hours.

9:00 AM

Arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim (2639m) and have a well-deserved breakfast. 

11:00 AM

Pack up your belongings and prepare to descend further down to Sembalun Village (1100m). 

The total descend will take about five hours and we will stop for rest and lunch along the way.

5:00 PM

Upon you arrival at Sembalun Village (1100m), our driver will pick you up and take you to your next stop in Lombok. If you have luggage with us, we will return to the villa before dropping you at your next stop.

*Please note that the timings mentioned are approximate and can vary depending on the pace of the group and weather conditions. It is essential to follow the guidance of your experienced guides throughout the trek for a safe and enjoyable experience.

  • The minimum age for Mount Rinjani trekking is 10 years.
  • An adult must accompany children under 17 years of age.
  • This activity is not recommended for pregnant women.
  • Not recommended for anyone with heart problems or other serious medical conditions.
  • Participants must have good physical condition and be able to walk long distances.
