Trip Itineraries:
Day 1
Day 1: Arrival in Palangkaraya – Start Cruise
- Our guide will pick you up at Palangkaraya Airport on your arrival time, or 9am at your hotel in Palangkaraya.
- Transferred to the Rahai’i Pangun( a beautiful traditional river boat) in Palangkaraya harbor. You will see the stilted and floating houses of the provincial capital.
- Your adventure continues along the forested river, passing fishing villages and observe the daily life of local people.
- Afterwards you will take a canoe through the shimmering black water lake. Enjoying stunning views you have a chance to watch proboscis monkeys, hornbills and Brahmini kites.
- In the evening you return to the Rahai’i Pangun for dinner in the midst of the forest.
Day 2
Day 2: Bapallas Island – Kanarakan -Tahai
- Start your day at the Rahai’i Pangun moving along the Rungan River while the tasty breakfast will be served for you.
- On arrival at Bapallas Island, the motorized canoe continues the adventure along the jungle lined river to watch for orangutans in their natural habitat and learn about the BOSF pre-release program.
- Your cruise continues to the tiny riverside village of Kanarakan, situated on the Rungan River, where you learn about the daily life of local people.
- We pass Kaja pre-release orangutan island along the route.
- Several shore excursions will take you to tribal villages and riverside markets. We visit the Dayak Ngaju tribe perform a welcoming ceremony and walk around the village, watch village home gardens. Besides, you can enjoy the traditional spices coffee or herbal tea while listening stories about the village and Dayak culture. You can observe the Rubber field and the process of rubber tapping.
- On the way back to Tangkiling you can relax enjoying another orangutan sight-seeing and stunning views of Rain forests. Overnight nearby Tangkiling.
Day 3
Day 3: Tangkiling – Palangkaraya – Airport/Hotel Drop-off
- After breakfast our staff will transfer you to the airport in Palangkaraya by car.

This is the most popular itinerary among the customers. However, if you want to add, change or skip some attractions, we can customise itinerary for you. All the attractions and activities are optional, you can always skip if you don’t want to go. You can leave a note when you check out or tell our guide in the tour.
We have included all that is needed except for :
- Lunch and dinner: 50,000 rupiah per meal per person but depends on what you order and where you dine.
- Tips: Optional but recommend in Indonesia
- Hotel: You can book on your own in Ubud area.
The rest that is not covered will be your personal travel insurance, personal expenses like souvenirs etc
In general, the period between March till November are the best months to visit Indonesia. This is the period of the dry season.
With that being said, we recommend customers not to be too bothered by it because you are only here for a few days , it is no guarantee that even if you come in the dry season, it won’t rain or it will always be rainy during the monsoon season. We believe alot is down to luck. December/August are still the peak period of tourist in Indonesia.
Return airport transfer service is included. We would pick you up at Kalimantan airport on your arrival time on day 1. If you are already in Kalimantan, we would pick you up at your hotel at around 9am instead.
No, our tours are all private tours. You won’t share with other groups or travellers. In this way, you can take your time, no need to wait for other people and can always follow your own path.
The air tickets are excluded in this package. If you have not bought the international air tickets, drop us a note and we are able to quote you for a package that is bundled together with the air tickets. We are usually cheaper than the price online.
